A very rare and particularly ornate version of the classic money cylinder; a vintage, genuine ten shilling British note inside a 9ct gold cylindrical case. In 1960, ten shillings was equivalent to approximately eight or nine pounds today, and charms like the one used to make this talisman were carried by women as ’emergency money’. A true statement piece, this looks like a secret bottle – and it is – a secret bottle filled with POWERFUL money drawing energy and entitlement to wealth! Stunning, one of a kind, the workmanship on this is pretty draw-dropping.
Carrying the charm meant that one was never without money. This energy of always having money is a powerful magickal charge, and makes these money talismans extremely effective amulets on their own, even before the intentional and ritual transformation into a money drawing talisman.
I have always worn at least one of these money talismans, and I adore them. There are various designs of ’emergency money’ talismans; the cylindrical talismans are among the least common.
The charm that this talisman is made from dates from the 1970s. Between the time this ten shilling note was sealed into the charm and now, British currency went through decimalisation. Shillings were removed as currency and are now rare.
This talisman has been created from a vintage solid gold piece, transformed into a magickal talisman through specific ritual magick at a carefully astrologically elected time.
You may well see scratches, dents and small marks on your talisman due to its age and former life. This only adds to the authenticity and unique nature of the piece. None of the Ouroboros Limited Editions are brand new and each piece is carefully inspected by our master goldsmith and jeweler in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. He then refurbishes each piece to wearable condition, polishes and securely solders the jump ring in place.
So much more than a piece of jewellery, this talisman is a personal piece of magickal power.
The final image is a picture taken of your talisman during the magickal ritual.

The ascendant sign is that which is ascending on the horizon at the moment these talismans were blessed, and gives much insight into the qualities you may ascend and expand into in wearing this piece. With the ascendant being in Taurus at the time these talismans were blessed, these pieces aid the wearer to embody the earthly, receptive, magnetic, pleasure-focused, and glamorous elements of Taurus. Healing issues around money, receiving, and sensuality are all strongly supported here.
The moon was building up to fullness in Taurus on this day. Any time the moon is waxing, we are gifted an increase in what the particular moon sign has domain over – and Taurus is all about money, pleasure, and entitlement to the many splendors of life. Falling in the 1st house of self, identity, and the body, this grants the wearer a steady increase in a healthy, abundant relationship with money.
Venus is at 11° Capricorn here, making wonderfully harmonious connections to Mars, Uranus, and the Ascendant. This is especially potent, as Venus is the ruling planet of Taurus, and has domain over money, pleasure, and abundance (among several other things!) In money-minded Capricorn, and falling in the 9th house of luck, expansion, and truth-seeking, writing new truths and pathways for ourselves when it comes to our consciousness around money is strongly supported.
These talismans beautifully aid a grounded and committed practice in expanding your magnetism to money – and in cultivating a true sense of entitlement to wealth.
