The mano figa or “thumb between the fingers”, is a gesture used since Roman times to ward off the evil eye. It’s thought that the symbol represents genitalia, the two fingers being the labia, the thumb peeking out between them, the clitoris. This vintage, or possibly antique, labradorite figa has a bracelet of 18ct gold.
Labradorite is a powerful protective stone in its own right – thought to be a piece of the Aurora Borealis frozen, that fell to earth, labradorite powerfully reflects negative energy. Considered the stone of psychics, mystics, shamans and all those with a foot in each world, this protective talisman is for someone who requires multiple layers and dimensions of protection because they are in communion with multiple realities, dimensions and worlds. These figa are extremely collectable and labradorite pieces are rare. I’m so happy to have found one to turn into a talisman – one of the most special pieces in this release!
I very nearly kept this for myself, but the message I got was that it was not mine, and was meant for someone else. Is it you?
This talisman has been created from a vintage solid gold piece, transformed into a magickal talisman through specific ritual magick at a carefully astrologically elected time. You may well see scratches, dents and small marks on your talisman due to its age and former life. This only adds to the authenticity and unique nature of the piece. None of the Ouroboros Limited Editions are brand new and each piece is carefully inspected by our master goldsmith and jeweler in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. He then refurbishes each piece to wearable condition, polishes and securely solders the jump ring in place.
So much more than a piece of jewellery, this talisman is a personal piece of magickal power.
The final image is a picture taken of your talisman during the magickal ritual.

Blessed freshly after the new moon in nurturing, compassionate, and fiercely protective Cancer, these talismans are designed to strengthen boundary-making and overall protection.
Capricorn was rising in the east at this hour, and was joined by Pluto and the Part of Fortune in in Capricorn. This sign speaks to the importance of boundaries, and in service of protecting ourselves from people, energies, or situations that we do not want in our lives, boundaries are key. Equally as important in making a new boundary is the diligence required to maintain those boundaries, especially in the face of those who may react negatively to a boundary, or disrespect them altogether. The medicine of Capricorn is a beautiful ally when steadfastness is needed.
The meetup of Capricorn placements in the 1st house of self and identity forms harmonious ties to the 4th house of roots, foundations, and belonging. These configurations support the sense of unwavering rootedness in one’s being – from which to have the strength and foundations necessary to make those hard, but life-giving boundaries.
The waxing moon in Cancer here brings deep self-compassion, protection of the self, and needed courage in naming boundaries. Cancerian energy speaks to the archetypes of the mother and the nurturer, and the lengths that we would go to protect those we love. Here, we are invited to include ourselves in who we love, and how far we would go in our own protection. These talismans aid in cultivating an inner sense of home and belonging, engaging with the inner child, and making decisions in our highest good and fiercest protection.
