Locket of Divine Love

Solid silver Ta’wiz. Sourced from my favourite dealer in Islamic antiquities in the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul. A ta’wiz is an amulet or charm locket, traditionally containing a piece of paper inscribed with verses from the Quran, Islamic prayers, or names of Allah. It is worn for protection, blessings, and good luck, believed by many to ward off evil, the evil eye, and other misfortune. I have two ta’wiz and keep a prayer for Truth, Love and Integrity, along with a tiny piece of moldavite crystal in one, and a ball of one of my beloved cats, Gershwin’s, fur in the other. The inscription on this one in Arabic reads ‘Bis Millah’ which means ‘in the name of God’. This ta’wiz can be opened up like a locket to hide something special inside: a lock of hair, a stone or a prayer. Your heart will let you know what belongs hidden in here. With all of this wonderful symbolic heritage, and having being transformed into a talisman, this piece is a powerful ally to guide you on your path to your true soul connections or to keep the Love you have in your life, close.
